Guided kayak tour from Herøy Coastal Museum

About the trip
A kayak trip in the archipelago around Herøya offers fantastic nature experiences among a multitude of islands, islets, skerries, and sheltered coves.
Paddling in this area, with its more than a thousand years of maritime history, will bring you close to nature and provide an extraordinary excursion!
On the trip, you can explore the marine life in the clear water, spot fish and perhaps crabs beneath your kayak, and if you look up, you can enjoy the rich birdlife in the area.
Herøya has been a safe and welcoming harbor for seafarers since the Viking Age, and travelers have found rest on both the north and south sides before and after sailing around Stad (Vestkapp). Today, in addition to the museum with guided tours, a museum café, and a shop, you will find the old medieval church site and a beautiful recreational and hiking area. Herøya is also one of the designated pilgrimage destinations along the Coastal Pilgrim Route that runs from Egersund to Nidaros.
