Guided tour with stories of birds and the sea

Join us for a guided tour of the exhibition at Runde Environmental Centre to learn about birdlife, marine ecology, and the story of a fantastic treasure discovery. The tour begins with a screening of "Silver of the Sea," and with the film as a backdrop, our experienced nature guide will take you through the exhibition. You will get to know the various birds that inhabit the island, and we will try to provide answers as to why so many of them have disappeared. This tour is perfect if you have been to, or are planning to visit, Rundefjellet.

In addition to birds and marine ecology, we take a golden journey back to 1725. The Akerendam ran aground at Runde, and it took nearly 300 years before the wreckage of the ship was discovered by three divers. What really happened to the treasure? Join us to hear the incredible story.
