Autumn on Runde

It is the season for wild weather, and on Runde, the elements roll in straight from the open ocean. Runde is therefore the best place to experience the true power of the weather. Waves crash against the cliffs, and sea spray envelops the mountain in white. The wind howls, and it is so strong you can lean right into it. You can hike from Goksøyra or walk along Otreskredane. It is, quite simply, a fantastic trip!
It is also possible to take a trip with our nature guide, where we follow the same fantastic route but with plenty of unique insights into the local nature and culture. Once the hike is finished, we enjoy dinner together. A unique opportunity to experience the best Norway has to offer.
If you choose to visit on a stormy day and have the opportunity to stay overnight, we recommend booking a spot at the Runde Lighthouse. There, you can experience the storm up close while staying warm and cozy. If you prefer a bit more luxury, we also offer accommodation near the mountain with views of the sea and the weather.
On Sundays, our café at the Runde Environmental Centre is open, where you can grab a bite to eat and a coffee, and perhaps take a look at the Runde Treasure exhibition. Some Sundays we host lectures that are well worth attending, so keep an eye out!
Feel free to take a look at our experiences , or perhaps book an overnight stay with us!
We also post information about our various events on Facebook, so please feel free to follow us.
